Journey with Jesus

Sometimes we choose the roads we take, sometimes they're

chosen for us. Sometimes the road we're on gets difficult to travel.

Sometimes we're asked to travel in a direction we wouldn't choose,

but we must.

This series of messages will challenge and encourage

you to travel with Jesus on a journey that leads to personal joy and

to the glory of God.

Principles for the Process of Rebuilding

At times in every individual's life, and from time to time in the life of

our communities, churches, neighborhoods, and beyond - there is

a need to rebuild. What "was" is no longer, but God offers a future

and a hope.

This series of messages follows the process Nehemiah

and other leaders discovered as they rebuilt their lives, their cities,

their temple, and their faith. The messages serve as a great

encouragement and motivator for those who are ready to tackle

the job.

Choose Life!

Our Lord Jesus tells us that He has come to give life - ABUNDANT

life, but warns us that there is a thief that comes to steal and

destroy. In the book of Deuteronomy, Moses sets before the people

life and
death and urges them to choose life. Why is it that so

many people make life-stealing choices?

This series of messages, based on Jesus’ encounter with the

woman at the well (John 4), alerts people to God-given moments

in time where life is offered, helps people identify what gives and

steals life from them, helps them recognize what needs to

change in order to have the life God intends, and encourages

them to respond whole-heartedly.

Rock Solid

At the end of King David’s life, he quotes Psalm 18 nearly word for

word in 2 Samuel 22. It serves as a kind of testimony of his life

experience with the Lord. "The Lord is my rock, my fortress,

my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge…”

This series of messages examines these metaphors of refuge in

light of events in David’s life, as well as events in Gayle's own life.

Her powerful testimony and teaching challenges the listener to

recognize how God has been and can be trusted to be our rock,

our fortress, our deliverer and our Lord in every circumstance.

A Mary Heart in a Martha World

For many of us, life is busy. We feel pressure to accomplish many

things, and do them well. We long for a better pace, but don’t

seem to be able to find it. In the encounter Jesus has with Mary

and Martha in Luke 10:38-42, we see another way.

This series of messages looks at that encounter and then at

spiritual practices that can help us spend time with the Lord

while we do our work (practicing the presence of God), as well

as tools for keeping the Sabbath.
